Excerpt from the preface
The 40th General Infantry Regiment, located in Kokura, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, where I served as the regiment commander, learned CQB techniques from gun handling instructor Ichiro Nagata and maintained a high level in urban combat and small unit combat. (Refer to "Becoming the Self-Defense Force's Strongest Unit - CQB/Gun Handling Edition").
At the same time, I also learned scouting techniques from a team of scout instructors led by Mr. S, and learned how to move without being detected by the enemy and reconnaissance techniques. "reference). Scouting techniques have hardly been spread to other units. The reason other units had a hard time catching up with the 40th Regiment at the time was because the 40th Regiment combined CQB technology and scouting technology.
However, it is not well known that what the 40th Regiment was fully committed to was high-intensity combat, firefighting, and the development of combat tactics.
What the 40th Regiment is best at is high-intensity combat that incorporates tanks and special firepower. By learning CQB and scouting techniques, the first goal was to improve the combat techniques and information gathering abilities of individual members, raise the overall level of high-intensity combat capabilities, and develop new tactics for the 40th Regiment.
After developing tactics, the next goal is to use new tactics to defeat the FTC opposing forces, which have won consecutive battles. Beyond that, my goal is to disseminate the tactics I developed to the Ground Self-Defense Force. The time you can be a regimental commander is usually two years, which is not that long. It was a race against time to see how far I could go.

This book describes how the 40th General Infantry Regiment, stationed at Kokura Garrison in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, developed tactics that are truly necessary on the battlefield, and how they actually used those tactics in mock battles on a regimental scale. A combined and re-edited version of two recorded e-books: ``Destroy the Center of Combat Gravity - New Tactics of the 40 Regiments - PART.1'' and ``Destroy the Center of Combat Gravity - New Tactics of the 40 Regiments - PART.2.'' is.

How can we become stronger? This is a record of the Ground Self-Defense Force's front-line troops who devoted themselves to training in search of the answer.
