US Military Sleeping Bag Hood (Released/Black)

This appears to be a surplus hood (head cover) that came with the US military sleeping bag system. Details are unknown as it does not have a contract number.

The inside is made of a fleece-like brushed material, which feels good against the skin and has good heat retention.
The exterior is made of lightweight nylon material to prevent cold air and wind from entering.
Velcro fasteners allow for opening and closing and adjustment of the fit.
